Selecting the Right Curl
The Facial Scanning System identifies eye anatomy — it cannot assess natural lash curl, which must be evaluated from a side profile. Use the guide below to select the correct curl for your client's natural lash lift.
1. Curly Natural Lashes
Recommended curls: B, C, J — these complement existing curl without over-correcting.
Avoid: D or DD curl — extremely curly extensions on already-curly lashes can cause lashes to curl back toward the eyelid, leading to discomfort and misdirection.
2. Straight Natural Lashes
All curls perform as designed on straight natural lashes — C looks like C, D looks like D, L looks like L. Select based on the desired result and overall eye anatomy. No restrictions.
3. Downturned Natural Lashes
Recommended curls: L, L+, M, CC, D — or any L curl variant. These overcome the downward direction to create lift.
Avoid: B, C, J — softer curls on downturned lashes may reinforce drooping and fail to lift the eye.
